Gary and Bonner Adams, Owners.
All of our products are manufactured in MacKenzie-Dow's 25,000 sq. ft. facility located in Huntington, West Virginia.
We work almost exclusively in Appalachian Wild Black Cherry, a species native to our Appalachian region.
Our products are individually made to order for our customer's one piece at a time.
Parts are machined and labeled for each individual order on the factory floor
Our flexible manufacturing strategy allows us to accommodate custom modifications on most all of our pieces, fulfilling the certain needs or spaces of our customers.
Each piece of furniture is bench made according to our customer's specifications by our experienced local craftsmen and women.
Each component is individually fitted to a specific piece of furniture.
We don't intentionally "distress" our furniture. Instead, we hand plane the surfaces to showcase the authentic craftsmanship of each piece.
Drawers are individually fitted and side hung, creating a sturdy drawer that doesn't twist or sag.
Table tops are breadboarded and pegged, or planked, using solid cherry pegs.
All of our furniture is hand sanded in preparation for finishing.
Each component is individually stained prior to final assembly, creating a complete finish on the furniture.
The final product is a properly constructed piece of furniture with a soft durable finish that begs to be touched.
